What is a Member School?

In order to be fully affiliated with SAACURH, a school must be affiliated with our parent association, NACURH. If you are affiliated with NACURH, you are automatically affiliated with your region, which in this case is SAACURH. Affiliation status lasts from the NACURH conference to the following NACURH conference and costs between $85 and $110, depending on your school's size. By paying the affiliation fee and filling out the proper paperwork, your school’s RHA will be affiliated with NACURH and SAACURH. This fee also qualifies your NRHH chapter for affiliation as long as the appropriate paperwork is completed. Fully affiliated schools receive voting rights at all business meetings, access to the Resource File Index (RFI), and other incentives (the SAACURH Programming Grant, cheaper conference registration fees, etc).

SAACURH's membership covers a nine-state region of the southeastern United States:

  • Alabama
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Kentucky
  • Mississippi
  • North Carolina
  • South Carolina
  • Tennessee
  • Virginia

How Do I Affiliate?
  • Register with the NACURH website by requesting a login.
    • Affiliations are now handled completely online (with the exception of dues, which can be mailed or submitted at each conference)
  • Ensure that the following items are complete:
    • Resource File Index (RFI)
    • You have the contact information of your: NCC, RHA President, RHA Advisor, NRHH President and NRHH Advisor
    • NRHH Chapter constitution
      • Note: please ensure that your NRHH constitution is updated with the new rules/policies as they have changed in recent years. For a copy of the checklist that the AD of NRHH will be using to approve constitutions, please click here.
    • NRHH Members List for the current/upcoming year
    • Dues are ready (invoices to have your check cut from your school are available here under “Affiliation Invoices”)
  • Once these items are complete (or as they become available), you may log onto the NACURH website using your newly created NACURH login username/password to submit your items. Simply click on the item(s) you would like to submit and it will prompt you to browse for that item on your computer to upload it.
    • Note: the NIC only accepts PDF versions of documents, so please ensure that the RFI and NRHH constitution are both saved in PDF format.
    • Also ensure that it is saved according to the format that the NIC prescribes.
The RFI needs to be saved as: (schoolname)_(NICreport)_(affiliationyear).
The NRHH constitution needs to be saved as: (schoolname)_(NICConstitution)_(affiliationyear)
  • Have your check cut and send it to:
    NACURH Information Center
    75 Third Avenue
    C3 Level
    New York, NY, 10003
  • Check the NACURH website periodically as the NIC will be reviewing and updating statuses as items are received. If there is an error or problem with your affiliation documents, please contact the NIC AD of Affiliations at: nic.affiliations@nacurh.org
Schools interested in affiliating should contact the RCC of Development and Education.
